WIth this in mind, the Gryphon sends three of his best spies into the capital city of Canterlot to rescue Princess Cadance and her husband, Prince Shining Armor. They have been imprisoned by Blueblood's command, and the Alliance intends to free them and begin the long struggle to free Equestria from tyranny.

The scientists from Earth were able to open a portal to Equestria, which became an unprecedented event for both worlds. Mutual enrichment in culture, mentality, and knowledge occurred, as well as, of course, a work exchange program. Through it, one young agronomist who wished to start a new life found himself in the world of little ponies.

His stay in Equestria proved to be challenging but unforgettable, a path that eventually led him to Sweet Apple Acres… of course, for reasons of his agricultural specialty. However, at some point, something terrible happened, and happiness came to an end. Hordes of zombies suddenly poured out of the portal to his native world, starting to take over the land of ponies.

Princess Celestia declared a state of emergency, and all the residents of Ponyville were evacuated. However, leaving the apple farm was not an option, as a shortage of apples could lead to famine. Only two remained to defend the harvest from the undead – a human and a farm pony. Fortunately, local magic proved capable of making the plants protect themselves.

The battle of life against death begins!..

Its concept started as an excuse to play around with the keyboard or, rather, warm up before continuing work on the main project. However, after some elaboration, it evolved into something more. In the six years following the ETS Pandemic, the town of Riverview went from having a waning population comprised entirely of ageing humans to a bustling city housing human and pony alike. It became a hub of magical research and even the home of a cultural renaissance. Then, one day, it burned.
For a time, ponies and people alike were left scrambling to rebuild their lives. Many lives were lost, and families wanted answers. The pony that many said to be the most influential in the Shimmerist cult had even renounced her faith and created a schism as a result.
There was a lot of hurt to be healed. In honour of those who died and those displaced, one pony idol streamer would drop her last PV. It would be her career's last hurrah, for a nonprofit cause, and she would't have it any other way.

This short story is set in the Pandemic Universe brought to life by ASGeek2012. An Ode to Riverview is set specifically after the events of Halira's Pandemic: Monsters We Make, starring characters from Pandemic: of Twins and Tails. Although it is highly advisable to read Monsters We Make first, this one-off does not specifically require much knowledge from Twins and Tails.

Nightmare Moon and Luna are somehow split by the Elements of Harmony by Twilight and her friends.

In doing so, Nightmare Moon’s aggressiveness is significantly reduced, and she assumes the role as Dreamwalker as Luna rebuilds her power. Maybe the elements made her too nice.

Being the big-hearted pony she is, Starlight was proud to do something for her friends, and her huge grin proved it.

It was just too bad her dinner, which she dubbed "Glimmer Surprise", looked and smelled horrendous.

Some years ago, on the day of the Summer Sun Celebration, Nightmare Moon returned from her banishment. The power she had accumulated during her stay on the moon proved to be too great for Princess Celestia, and without the Elements of Harmony to help her, Equestria's ruler was defeated. The land was shrouded in eternal night, and the rigid rule of Nightmare Moon became the new normal.

Then, weeks later, Anon arrived in Equestria via unknown means. Thanks to his natural resistance to magic, Nightmare Moon realized how useful he would be. He quickly became one of her most trusted servants, and she found herself falling for the strange creature. Despite everything, Anon felt the same about her.

Then, after years had passed, six unassuming ponies met by sheer coincidence, brought back the Elements of Harmony, and defeated Nightmare Moon. Princess Celestia returned, as did the mare that Nightmare Moon had been many, many moons ago: Princess Luna. Now, the sun shines on Equestria once more. The land has two rulers and six protectors. Everything is looking up. Everyone is celebrating. Everyone... except Anon. Because Anon did not fall in love with Princess Luna.

Anon fell in love with Nightmare Moon.

Sunset Shimmer and her friends defeated the evil, memory-wiping villain Wallflower Blush. Reformation, however, takes time.
