The Doctor's Office

Today was the day Anon was dreading. A trip to his doctor to get the results back on his blood work. It had only been a Week since his last visit and that was to have blood taken for the tests. He had been sitting on his couch for most of the day so far, he had tried to take his mind off it by watching what ever he could find.

Eventually the time came for him to get going. He walked out to his car and got in. He took a deep breath before starting the car. He felt as if the journey to the hospital was taking hours, but in reality it had only been five minutes. He felt his stress grow and grow in his chest. Upon arriving at the hospital Anon's stress hit it's peak. He already wanted to go home.

Despite his fear he got out of his car and made his way towards the hospital's entrance. He made his way over to reception and spoke.

"Hi, I'm here for an appointment. My name is Anon Lecture."

"As yes Mr Lecture, please take a seat and Dr Grey will be with you shortly." The receptionist said in a joyful voice. This put Anon at ease. He made his way over to the seating area, but before sitting down he had to make a quick stop at the toilets. Once done relieving himself he began to wash his hand.

A sudden red drop fell in to the sink, and then another and another. Eventually there was a light stream of red going in to the sink. He looked up in to the mirror and saw he had developed a nose bleed. He cursed under is breath and grabbed some paper towels. He held them up to his nose and after a minute or two the blood stopped. He threw the paper towels in the bin as he walked out the door.

He entered back in to the seating area and waiting there was his doctor.

"Ah Mr Lecture it's good to see you please right this way." The doctor said. Anon followed the doctor to his office. "Please take a seat."

Anon did as he was instructed and sat down. The doctor sat across from him on the other side of the desk.

"Now, Anon... I have some very serious news..."

Anon sat in silence, his whole world had just been shattered in one sentence. All the sounds around him were muffled and his vision was slightly blurred.

"Anon?" A muffled voice said. Anon did take note of it. He was still in to much shock.

"Anon!" The voice called out again, this time it pulled Anon back to his senses.

"Anon do you know what I said?" The doctor asked.

"Yeah... you said I have lucimia."

"That is correct."

Anon fell back in his seat and his hands came up to his face.

"How the hell did this happen?"

"Anon this is very uncommon for someone of your age and health. Your a young man with no real health problems." The doctor explained. Anon didn't truly care how he got it. He just wanted it gone.

He spoke to his doctor for an hour on treatments and ways to help heal him. Once they were done talking Anon was given a prescription and allowed to leave.

He made is way to his car, once reaching in he took a deep breath in and theb let it out. He opened his car door and got in. He took in another deep breath, but instead of breathing out he let out a scream. A scream filled with fear and anger.

Anon had been sitting on his couch for hours pondering if he should go through with the action plaguing his mind. It had been four months since his diagnosis. All his treatments didn't appear to be having any affect on the cancer, it just seemed to get worse and worse. Now here he his, pondering what he should do.

He felt the all to familiar feeling of blood coming out of his nose. The nose bleeds had become more and more frequent. This wasn't the life he wanted this was just sickness. His grip tightened around the gun in his hand. He brought the gun up to under his chin and put his finger on the trigger.

His eyes were clenched shut and his hand was shaking he eventually moved the gun away and threw it across the room. He couldn't do it, he found it to difficult to pull the trigger himself. His head fell in to his hands and he could feel his tears run down his cheeks.

Maybe tomorrow he would be strong enough to pull the trigger. He got up from his couch and walked across the room towards the gun. He hesitated for but a moment then picked it up. He looked at the weapon in his hands. It was his father's old 1911. He had brought shame on to this weapon. A weapon that was used for protection and self defence.

Anon knew his dad would be disappointed in him, he knew his dad would tell him to keep going and to not give up hope. But his dad wasn't here. His dad was long gone. Anon put the gun down on the coffee table and made his way towards the stairs. As he made his way up then a sudden dizziness and tiredness took hold of him. This wasn't uncommon for him now, it was all part of the lucimia. The only difference was this time it was stronger.

He began to stumble before he tripped up. He his head hit the edge of one of the steps and his vision went black.

There was a fait ringing in Anon's ears. His eyes slowly opened only to see lots blurry colours. His head felt like it was going to be split open by the massive headache he had. He opened and closed his eyes a few times as he tried to adjust to the light. Very slowly his vision cleared and he found himself in an unusual place. It was, hard to describe. It looked like the inside to a wooden cabin. He leaned his head back, but instead of feeling the floor he felt a pillow? He looked at where he was laying and he found he was on a bed.

He didn't understand, he was at first in his house, now one a bed in a cabin? He couldn't make heads or tails of it. There was a soft sound in the room. As if someone was humming. He looked around the room for the sound, eventually he found it.

At the other side of the room from him was a small yellow horse with a pink mane and tail. The most surprising thing to Anon was that it had wings.
